Voting Limitations
Understand the current limitations of ReactionBot Voting and how they may affect your polls.
ReactionBot Voting is designed to provide reliable, reaction-based polls for Discord communities. While the system supports a wide range of poll types, there are a few limitations and requirements to be aware of before publishing a poll.
Discord Permission Requirements
Voting relies on the required Discord permissions to publish polls, monitor reactions, and manage votes.
If required permissions are removed or overridden at the channel level, polls may not function correctly.
Reaction-Based Voting
ReactionBot polls use Discord reactions as the voting method.
If members cannot add reactions in the selected channel, they will be unable to participate in the poll.
Single Vote Enforcement
Single Vote mode relies on ReactionBot being able to manage reactions.
Without the necessary permissions, members may be able to react with multiple options instead of being limited to one.
Editing Live Polls
Draft polls can be edited freely before they are published.
Once voting has begun, changing important settings may affect the consistency of poll results.
Vote Credits
Paid polls require members to have enough Vote Credits before their vote can be counted.
Members without sufficient credits will not be able to participate until additional credits are available.
If Something Isn't Working
Most voting issues are caused by missing permissions, Premium-only features, or poll configuration settings.
