Verification Flows

Guide members through one or more verification steps before granting access to your Discord server.

Verification Flows provide a guided onboarding experience for new members. Instead of assigning a role immediately, ReactionBot can require members to complete one or more verification steps before receiving access to your server.

What Is a Verification Flow?

A Verification Flow is a sequence of one or more reaction role steps that members must complete in order.

Each completed step moves the member closer to receiving their final reward role.

How Verification Works

Create a verification flow from the Roles dashboard.

Configure each verification step, then choose the role members should receive after completing the entire flow.

ReactionBot automatically tracks each member's progress.

Verification Steps

Each step may require a different emoji, message, or role assignment.

Members must complete the current step before progressing to the next one.

Reward Role

After every verification step has been completed successfully, ReactionBot automatically assigns the configured reward role.

This role typically grants access to the rest of your Discord server.

Editing a Verification Flow

Verification flows can be edited from the dashboard at any time.

Changes apply to future participants while preserving completed progress where possible.

Deleting a Verification Flow

Deleting a verification flow stops new members from entering it.

Members who already completed the flow keep any roles they previously earned.

The bot's highest role must remain above every reward role it assigns.

Troubleshooting

If members are not progressing through the flow, verify each step is enabled and configured correctly.

Confirm ReactionBot has permission to assign the reward role.

Run /diagnose if verification appears to stop unexpectedly.
