Participant Requirements

Control who can join your events using participant limits and Discord role requirements.

ReactionBot allows you to control who can participate in an event. Premium servers can limit the number of available spots or require members to have a specific Discord role before they are eligible to join.

Maximum Participants (Premium)

Set a maximum number of participants to create limited-entry events.

Once the participant limit has been reached, no additional members will be able to join the event.

Unlimited Participation

Leaving the participant limit blank allows an unlimited number of members to join.

This is ideal for announcements, community events, watch parties, and large giveaways where everyone should be able to participate.

Required Role (Premium)

Require members to have a specific Discord role before they can enter an event.

Members who do not have the selected role will not be eligible to participate until the role has been assigned to them.

Common Uses

Participant requirements are useful for VIP events, supporter giveaways, beta testing, tournaments, subscriber-only activities, or staff-exclusive events.

They also help create reward systems where participation is unlocked by earning specific roles within your server.

Combining Requirements

Participant limits and required roles can be used together.

For example, you might host a VIP event that only members with a Supporter role can join while limiting the event to the first 25 eligible participants.

Things to Know

ReactionBot checks participation requirements when members attempt to join the event.

Changing the participant limit or required role before an event begins allows you to adjust eligibility without creating a new event.
