Logger Limitations
Understand the current limitations of ReactionBot Logger and what to expect from supported logging features.
ReactionBot Logger is designed to provide useful moderation and analytics without attempting to record every event that occurs in your server. Some Discord limitations and design decisions affect what Logger can monitor and display.
Only Enabled Logs Are Recorded
Logger only records events that have been enabled in the Logger dashboard.
Disabled log categories will not generate any log messages.
Logger Must Be Enabled
Even if individual log categories are enabled, no events will be recorded while Logger itself is disabled.
A logging channel must also be selected before any logs can be delivered.
Discord Permission Requirements
Logger depends on Discord permissions to send messages and embeds.
If permissions are removed or channel overrides prevent access, Logger cannot post events.
Free Plan Limits
Message Edit and Message Delete logging are available on the Free plan with a daily logging limit.
Premium servers remove this daily limit and unlock additional monitoring features.
Historical Events
Logger does not recover events that occurred before logging was enabled.
Only activity that occurs after Logger has been configured can be recorded.
Future Improvements
ReactionBot Logger is actively expanding with additional analytics, moderation insights, and server activity tracking.
New logging categories may become available over time as Logger continues to evolve.
If Logs Are Missing
If expected events are not appearing, verify that Logger is enabled, the correct log category is enabled, a logging channel has been selected, and ReactionBot has the required Discord permissions.
Most logging issues can be resolved by reviewing the Logger Setup and Logger Permissions guides.
