Logger Permissions
Learn which Discord permissions ReactionBot requires to send logs and why each permission is important.
ReactionBot requires a small number of Discord permissions to deliver log messages correctly. Missing permissions may prevent Logger from sending embeds or posting to your selected logging channel.
Required Permissions
Logger only requires the permissions necessary to post messages and display log embeds.
If any required permission is missing, some or all logging features may stop working.
View Channels
Allows ReactionBot to see the logging channel.
If the bot cannot view the channel, no log messages can be delivered.
Send Messages
Allows ReactionBot to post log messages in the selected logging channel.
Without this permission, Logger cannot send any events.
Embed Links
Allows Logger to display rich embedded log messages instead of plain text.
Most Logger events are presented as embeds for improved readability.
Read Message History
Allows ReactionBot to reference messages when creating certain log entries.
Some logging features rely on message history to provide additional context.
Recommended Channel Permissions
Many communities create a dedicated staff-only logging channel.
Grant ReactionBot the required permissions only in that channel while keeping access restricted to moderators and administrators.
Common Permission Issues
If Logger is enabled but no logs appear, verify that the bot has View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links, and Read Message History permissions in the selected logging channel.
Also ensure channel permission overrides are not preventing ReactionBot from posting.
