Reaction Control Overview
Learn how Reaction Control helps manage emoji reactions across your Discord server using channel and server-wide moderation rules.
Reaction Control allows you to automatically moderate emoji reactions throughout your Discord server. Whether you want to block specific emojis, approve only certain reactions, limit reaction spam, or restrict individual members, ReactionBot provides flexible tools that can be configured per channel or across your entire server.
What is Reaction Control?
Reaction Control is ReactionBot's emoji moderation system.
It monitors reactions as they are added and automatically enforces the rules you create.
This allows server owners to maintain consistent reaction behavior without requiring manual moderation.
How It Works
ReactionBot watches for newly added reactions in channels where it has permission to operate.
When a reaction matches one of your configured rules, the appropriate moderation action is applied automatically.
Moderation happens in real time, helping keep channels organized without interrupting normal conversations.
Available Features
Reaction Control includes Block, Allow Only, Limit Reactions, and Restrict Users.
These features can be combined to create moderation rules that fit the needs of your community.

Channel Rules
Channel Rules apply only to the channel where they are created.
This allows every channel to have its own reaction moderation settings based on its purpose.
Channel Rules are available on both Free and Premium servers.
Global Rules
Global Rules apply reaction moderation across your server from one central configuration.
Instead of creating identical rules in every channel, you can manage them from a single location.
Global Rules are available with ReactionBot Premium.
Dashboard Management
All Reaction Control settings can be managed through the ReactionBot dashboard.
The dashboard provides a visual interface for creating, editing, enabling, and removing reaction rules without using slash commands.
Changes can be saved at any time and are applied immediately.
Permissions
ReactionBot requires View Channels, Read Message History, and Manage Messages to moderate reactions successfully.
If any required permission is missing, some moderation actions may not function correctly.
The /diagnose command can help identify missing permissions.
Getting Started
Begin by deciding whether your server needs channel-specific moderation or server-wide moderation.
Create your first rule from the Reaction Control dashboard or by using the supported slash commands.
As your server grows, additional rules can be added without affecting your existing configuration.
