Creating an Event
Learn how to create your first ReactionBot event and configure its basic settings.
Creating an event only takes a few minutes. Give your event a name, choose where it will be posted, configure how it starts, select its duration, and save it. Once configured, ReactionBot handles the countdown, participant tracking, and event lifecycle automatically.
Step 1 — Choose an Event Name
Begin by entering a name that clearly describes your event. This title appears at the top of the Discord event message and helps members understand what they're joining.
Examples include 'Reaction Giveaway', 'Watch Party', 'Community Goal', or 'Friday Event'.
Step 2 — Select an Event Channel
Choose the Discord channel where ReactionBot should post the event.
Only text channels that the bot can access are available. Members will react to the event message in this channel to participate.
Step 3 — Configure the Event
Next, choose how the event starts, select the reaction emoji, set the duration, choose an event type, and configure any optional settings such as participant requirements or end actions.

Step 4 — Preview Your Event
As you configure the event, the live preview updates to show how the finished Discord message will appear.
Review the event name, emoji, countdown settings, duration, and other options before saving.
Step 5 — Save the Event
When everything looks correct, save the event. Depending on your selected start mode, the event may launch immediately, be scheduled for a future time, or wait for a reaction trigger.
Saved events are added to the Event Manager where they can be monitored, edited, or deleted.
What Happens Next?
After an event begins, ReactionBot automatically tracks participants, updates countdown timers, and manages the event until it ends.
When the event finishes, any configured end actions are performed automatically and the event moves into the Event Manager's completed state.
